Make a Donation | The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is one of the largest sources of funds that SOPA uses throughout the year to provide extra programs to the kids of SOES.  What sets the Annual Fund apart from other fundraising for SOPA is that it doesn’t require any extra effort from anyone.  There is no event to attend, no volunteers required to produce an event, no grocery store or mall to visit.  This fund is simple…we ask you to donate just for the sake of donating.

Starting in 2008, the Annual Fund carries with it special significance.  This year, our new Computer Lab will open, and what comes with that is a new teacher.  This teacher will be paid completely from SOPA funds.  Now, given that all our events and programs have their funds already allocated, the additional funds for the Computer Lab teacher must come from additional funds collected in the Annual Fund.

Our suggested donation for the Annual Fund is $500 per student.  This amount is right on par with many other private and public schools in the area.  While we know that many families can afford this, especially with the savings that comes from avoiding private school tuition, we also know that many families cannot.  If you are inclined to give more, it will be greatly appreciated.  If you need to give less, whatever you give will make a difference in your child(ren)’s educational experience.

To donate to the Annual Fund, you can write a check, pay with cash, or pay with a credit card either through SOPA's credit card processing, or on this site through PayPal.  You can make one payment or spread it throughout the year.  Some employers will match your donation to the Annual Fund.  And don’t forget that your donation to the Annual Fund is tax deductible.
