SHOP AT FASHION SQUARE MALL
Earning 4 Learning at Westfield Fashion Square mall on Riverside in Sherman Oaks.
Simply by logging receipts at the Concierge desk, or by turning receipts in to the box in the school office (and we'll log them for you), our school will receive free money! We have received thousands of dollars over the past couple years, enabling us to purchase digital cameras for the school, printers, and more.
Our school will share in a $15,000 prize depending on the number of points we log by the end of January 2009. The more points logged, the more money we get!
Receipts must be dated Sept 1, 2008 through Jan 31, 2009.
Make sure and log them for Sherman Oaks Elementary (NOT SOCES, which is a different school!)
The Concierge desk logs your receipts and gives them back to you.
If you turn the receipts into the office for us to log them for you, and you want them back, include your child's name and classroom number on an envelope and we will return them.
Double Points for ALL receipts logged in September!
Triple points for Westfield Gift Cards purchased in September and October!
TRIPLE POINTS for items bought and logged on Saturday, November 15, 2008!
Make your Pottery Barn, Apple, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, gift certificate, or ANY mall store purchases at Fashion Square mall through January, and our school gets free money to buy vital resources for our kids.

VOLUNTEERING
Visit the Volunteering page in the SOPA section of this site.
A few immediate needs are:
Stop, Drop, & Roll

Homework Club
Homework Club is a volunteer-run, free afterschool program that provides a quiet, safe, supervised place for students to do their homework.
It runs Monday - Thursday for 1 hour after school, usually in the library or an adjoing classroom.
The only way we can provide this for the kids and families is if we have enough volunteers.
Please contact Jody Bradley at jody@shermanoaksparents.com to volunteer an hour a week or whatever you can.
The HW Club will start as soon as we have enough volunteers!
For more on the HW Club, go to the Homework Club page in the AFTERSCHOOL section.
